Welcome to the area information section for Phoenix and surrounding Maricopa County areas. When considering what home to buy, the community can be as important a consideration as the real estate itself. This section should help you learn more about our beautiful community and all it has to offer.
There are some homes made of block construction as well but less frequently. Most of the northwest valley has been built recently, since 1998, and are located in master planned communities controlled by home owners associations (HOA) which have covenants, conditions and restrictions (CC & R's). You can also find many custom homes on 1 acre lots which often allow for the ownership of horses on the property. Whether a horse or a subdivision property, you will find most of these homes with block fences. New home builder are still building in several of the subdivisions in Stetson Valley, Vistancia, Noterra, Sonoran Foothills and Sonoran Mountain.

Featured Community
Stetson Hills is a beautiful foothill community with Sonoran desert foothills views all around. It offers lots of great walking trails, large amounts of open areas, desert washes (which many homes back up to) and a few pocket parks within the community. Even though Stetson Hill may seem like a relatively young community being completed in 2003, by Arizona standards it is a mature community, meaning the more long term residents and more mature landscaping. It also mean that some of the homes are now needing updated interiors features such as carpet or kitchens compared to some of the newer communities nearby.
